Bulldogs Acquire Tristen Buckley and Owen Dewitt

(Blackfalds, AB) The Bulldogs have made a series of deals with the Langley Rivermen. 2007-born forward Tristen Buckley was acquired for Future Considerations.

Buckley, the local product (Red Deer, AB), joins the Bulldogs after playing last season for the Sherwood Park Crusaders. The University of Massachusetts Lowell (NCAA) committed forward appeared in 53 games, scoring 6 goals and 15 points. He grew up in the Red Deer AAA Hockey program.

Bulldogs Director of Player Personnel, Al Parada, said, “Tristen is a local hockey product with high-end skill and hockey IQ. We are excited to see Tristen join our group next season as he is a player I have watched for a very long time now and has developed into an elite player.”

Additionally, the Bulldogs acquired 2007-born forward Owen Dewitt from Langley in exchange for the rights of 2006-born forward Logan Peskett and Future Considerations. Dewitt started the season with the Rivermen, scoring 1 goal and 5 points in 27 games. He then finished the season with the Camrose Kodiaks (AJHL), scoring 3 goals and 8 points in 13 games. 

2006-born goaltender Mikkel Christensen was also sent to Langley in exchange for Future Considerations.

The Bulldogs would like to welcome Tristen, Owen, and their families to the organization.
