The Bulldogs organization is proud to announce that Kody Willick will be the first Blackfalds Bulldogs Foundation Ambassador.
“Kody will be the spokesperson for all Foundation events and media requests,” said Bulldogs co-owner Jodie Quinn. “He will be working with all the Bulldogs organization to bring awareness to our brand and what we do in the community.”
Kody joined the Bulldogs at the start of the 2022-23 season and made an immediate impact both on and off the ice. He was awarded the 2023 Giuseppe AJHL Greatest Teammate Award for the AJHL’s South Division last season.
“When I joined the Bulldogs organization, I was amazed by the community leadership and the unique opportunities put forth by the Bulldogs Foundation,” said Kody. “As a player, I have always believed that the game I love would not be possible without such strong communities behind each team.”
Kody went on to say that he is hugely excited and grateful to be joining the Bulldogs Foundation as the Foundation Ambassador, and further explained his responsibilities, saying; “As part of this role I will be assisting with organizing events, establishing an impactful presence within the community, and ensuring that my teammates and I work closely with organizations within our community.”
Kody played in every single regular season and playoff game for the Bulldogs last season, elevating his game come playoff time, with five goals and 13 points during his 16 games in the postseason. He participated in various volunteering events through the Bulldogs Foundation and finished the season as an important leader for Blackfalds.
“Kody has already proved that he is a strong community leader who is well-spoken. He leaves a positive impression on everyone around him. Kody embodies the demeanour, appearance, value, and ethics that we are looking for to represent the foundation,” said Jodie Quinn. “We know he will be a great ambassador that will continue to strengthen the relationship between the Bulldogs Foundation and the community.”
“I am absolutely thrilled with this opportunity and cannot wait to begin working with my teammates and the foundation on what will be an awesome season both on and off the ice,” said Kody.
