A Look Ahead to the 2022 Bulldogs Fashion Show
The 2022 Bulldogs fashion show will take place at the Blackfalds Community Centre this Saturday night. The event gives members of the local junior ‘A’ hockey club an opportunity to model clothing provided by local businesses.
“We had all the guys laughing, everyone was having a good time… this year, it should be good,” said Bulldogs forward Spencer Bell.
Bell is one of five players on the Bulldogs that are returnees from last season. Of those five, only three participated in the fashion show this year. Bell says that this year’s event should only prove to bring this year’s version of the Bulldogs closer together. Bell also went on to say that while the fashion show serves as an opportunity for the players to have a fun evening, it’s more of an alluring occasion for the community.
“It’s definitely exciting…as a fan, you kind of get to see a different side of the players you don’t always get to see.”
Ajoy Joseph of Milano for Men stated that the fashion show even was “fun for (the players) and the community,” when asked why he decided to bring his business back for the event his year.
Shanna Soehn of Black Knight Tuxedos reiterated the importance of the community in the event, citing it as a big reason she was motivated for her business to be included again.
“The big reason we do it is to support the community. I was born and raised here, my husband grew up here. Anytime we can give back to the community is always nice,” explained Soehn, “It was a really good experience last year, all the guys were super nice and a lot of fun.”
Spencer Bell and others from the Blackfalds Bulldogs will be sporting apparel from Black Knight Tuxedos, Milano for Men, and more on Saturday night. The event starts at 6:30 and will run until 1:00 the next morning.
