Bulldogs Sign Charles Béland
The Blackfalds Bulldogs are pleased to announce the signing of 2006-born forward, Charles Béland.
The Trois-Rivières, Quebec product split time between the North Iowa Bulls of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) and the Lincoln Stars of the United States Hockey League (USHL). He scored 7 goals and 17 points in 45 games played with North Iowa and 1 assist in 5 games with Lincoln. The six-foot-three forward weighs 190 pounds.
Bulldogs’ Director of Hockey Operations, Al Parada, said, “When we had the opportunity to sign Charles for this season, it was something we were very excited about. He is a big body who skates very well, can score, and will complement the rest of our forward group.”
Parada continued, “He plays a strong two-way physical game but still has the skill to put up points in this league and be an elite player. Charles has a great work ethic both on and off the ice and will be a key contributor to our team moving forward.”
Béland stated, “I am very excited to join the Bulldogs, it feels like a great opportunity for me and I am very excited to see how far we can go as a team this year.”
Parada added, “I look forward to seeing Charles in a Bulldogs jersey this coming season.”
The entire Bulldogs organization would like to welcome Charles and his family to Blackfalds!
