Bulldogs Sign James Johnson

The Blackfalds Bulldogs have signed 2004-born defenceman James Johnson for the rest of the 2023-24 season.

The Ajax, Ontario product played for the Toronto Patriots in the OJHL, where he scored 4 goals and recorded 31 assists in 47 games this season and also served as the captain. Johnson stands tall at 6’6” and weighs 205 pounds. 

Bulldogs’ Director of Hockey Operations, Al Parada, said, “James is an elite skater and puck handler for a guy his size. He has a great hockey IQ and will be a great addition to our defensive core on the back end.”

Johnson stated, “I am extremely thrilled and excited to join the bulldogs and the town of Blackfalds! I’ve had a warm welcome from all the staff and players. The team is top notch and I can’t wait to play in front of the amazing fanbase!”

Parada added, “Bulldogs fans should be excited about James joining our team for the rest of this season.”
