Tyler Teasdale Selected to Team Canada U20 at ISBHF World Junior Championships

The Blackfalds Bulldogs are proud to congratulate defenceman Tyler Teasdale on his selection to play for Team Canada U20 in the 2023 ISBHF World Junior Championships, playing ball hockey internationally for the second time.

Teasdale started playing ball hockey at the age of 12 and has represented both Canada and his home province of Manitoba in the past, most recently playing in last season’s nationals, finishing in second place with the Winnipeg Grasshoppers.

This year’s tournament will take place in Czechia, where Teasdale has some experience, having won gold with Canada West at a previous tournament.

“It’s an honour to be selected to play for Team Canada and to be able to compete for my country overseas,” said Teasdale. “ The first time I was there was an unreal experience so to be able to go back and compete against other countries’ top players is something I’m really looking forward to.”

Teasdale is joined on the U20 roster by fellow AJHLers Kayden Rawji and Bailey Ewonus, the latter of which played with Teasdale for Blackfalds earlier this season.

“Bailey is a great guy and ball hockey player so to be able to play on the same team as him again is exciting,” said Teasdale when asked if he was looking forward to reconnecting with his former teammate.

The tournament will take place in Liberec, Czechia between June 28 and July 2 of this year.

The Blackfalds Bulldogs wish Tyler the best of luck this summer in Liberec!
