Porter Byrd-Leitner Commits to Bulldogs

The Blackfalds Bulldogs are pleased to announce that 2006-born forward, Porter Byrd-Leitner, has committed to the Bulldogs for the 2024-25 BCHL season.

The Moorestown, New Jersey product played for the New Jersey Rockets 18U AAA team as well as The Lawrenceville School (USHS-Prep) and already has an NCAA Division 1 commitment to Colgate University.

Byrd-Leitner scored 13 goals and 44 points in 48 games this season with the New Jersey Rockets and had 13 goals and 40 points in 25 games at The Lawrenceville School.

Bulldogs’ Director of Hockey Operations, Al Parada, stated, “Porter has been a player I have been watching for a while and getting a chance to see him compete live at USA nationals you can see why he has been successful so far in his hockey journey.”

Parada continued, “Porter is a very smart 200-foot player who skates well and plays with an edge and is hard to play against.”

Byrd-Leitner is eager to get started, “I’d like to thank the Blackfalds Bulldogs staff for giving me this awesome opportunity to be a meaningful part of their team next year. I’m very excited to join an organization with such great facilities, fans, and coaches. I couldn’t be more thankful to make this next step in my hockey career to play for the Bulldogs in the BCHL.”

Parada added, “I look forward to seeing what Porter can do in Junior next season as a Bulldog.”
