Rob Hamill

Assistant Coach
Rob Hamill grew up in Red Deer where he played his minor hockey and baseball. After graduating from the minor programs, he played one season in the AJHL with the Red Deer Rustlers before moving on to the WHL for 2 seasons with the Calgary Wranglers. In baseball he was an original member of the Red Deer Riggers and played for many years. After his playing career was over, he got in to coaching both Hockey and Baseball. During his playing and coaching career Rob participated in many National Championships including winning the National U18AAA Hockey Championship [Telus Cup] twice and Silver at the National Midget Baseball Championships as a coach. Rob has coached both hockey and baseball for 35 years, close to 20 of those years along side Doug Quinn. Besides hockey and baseball Rob also enjoys to golf. Rob along with his wife Rhonda and their children own and operate the Dairy Queens in Red Deer, which has been in their family for over fifty years.
