Digital Marketing, Seasonal Student

Description of Position / Skills Required

As a Digital Marketing, Seasonal Student, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of digital marketing while contributing to real projects that drive business growth. Under the guidance of our Director of Broadcast and Media, with collaboration from both our Vice President of Business Operations and Director of Community Relations & Partnerships, you will assist in executing digital marketing strategies across multiple channels to enhance brand awareness, engage our audience, and drive traffic to our platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Content Creation and Management

  • Assist in creating engaging content and compelling content for our website, social media platforms and email campaigns.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop content calendars and ensure timely delivery of content.

Social Media Management

  • Help manage our social media accounts by creating and scheduling posts, monitoring engagement, and responding to comments/messages if needed.
  • Conduct research to identify trends, industry news, and relevant content for social media.

Email Marketing

  • Assist in designing email templates, writing copy, and managing campaigns.

Digital Advertising and Graphic Development

  • Aid in the creation and management of digital advertising campaigns across platforms.
  • Aid in the creation of slide decks and marketing materials to showcase assets.
  • Aid in the creation of digital files utilized for print material.

Website Development/Content

  • Populate retail content on website
  • Assist with brand elevation on website

Additional Details

  • This is a seasonal position and is offered until September 2024
  • Wage offered is $20-$23 per hour, based on education and experience.
  • This is a part time position offering 20-25 hours a week.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and Valid Insurance.
  • Access to reliable transportation.
  • Travel within Central Alberta.
Certifications / Qualifications / Education
  • Currently enrolled in a diploma or degree program in Communications, Marketing, Business, or related field.
  • Strong written and verbal skills, with keen eye to detail.
  • Fluent in social media platforms and digital marketing tools (e.g. Hootsuite, Google, Mailchimp, etc.).
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in fast-paced environment.
  • Previous or relevant experience in digital marketing is ideal.
